Module 3 Blog Post

I interviewed/ interacted with the preschool teacher at the daycare that I am working with. She is a great teacher. The children absolutely love her. I really enjoyed our conversation about young children and their importance in the world. We talked about how the young children of today are our presidents and leaders later in life and how it is our responsibilities to  provide an education to them that will provide them the knowledge to do accomplish great things in life. We also spoke more about health and how it is so important that children stay healthy. We also talked about how children need environments to help them stay healthy and active as well.

Observing and Interacting with Professionals

In the daycare that I have been working with the staff members are wonderful. They all have positive attitudes and mind sets. I find this is be great especially around the students. The classroom what I have been observing is a toddler 2 class. The children really look at the teacher and other staff members as role models and those to look up at-so it is very crucial that the staff is caring, positive and happy to be there. Many teachers go to work to receive the paycheck and really do not give much enthusiasm and concern to their students and they only do the bare minimum but there are plenty of teachers that are the opposite and this daycare really shows those types of teachers. These teachers work with and along side the children where some teachers of young children just let them roam and do their own things. From the observation for this module I was really able to see more of the behind the senses activity as well for a teacher on a normal day. I was able to observe the before classes start mode that this center has. I was able to watch and interact with the preparing for class materials and lesson planning. I really enjoy this setting as a fieldwork location. I find this center to be not only positive, helpful and educational to the students but also for myself. It is an eye opener for what really happens and takes place on any given day.
